英国广播公司(BBC)邀请177位影评人评选出了21世纪最棒的100部电影。

大卫·林奇的《穆赫兰道》(2001)荣登榜首，被评为本世纪最出色的电影，虽然粉丝们都认为这部超现实作品既让人困惑，又让人着迷。紧随其后的是王家卫的《花样年华》(2000)、保罗·托马斯·安德森的《血色将至》(2007)、宫崎骏的《千与千寻》(2001)以及理查德·林克莱特历时12年拍摄的《少年时代》(2014)。

本榜单中，2012年可谓是电影大热的一年，共有10部影片入选。值得一提的是，一些大家耳熟能详的影片并未入选，比如《哈利波特》系列、《指环王》系列、《加勒比海盗》系列等等。
